The job interview is the first step to the practical life where an individual is supposed to be presentable enough to put his impression real good. Well, initially, job process can be daunting at the first times but will start making sense the third or fourth time. An individual should be able to appear marketable. The Job Interview Process is a five stage process where each and every step is important to be considered for the job.

Preparations before Job Interview:

It should be taken into account that the company always adores the individuals who have information about them. Thus, it is very important to know about the company before you go for the interview. Go through the company’s website and search about it on Google and other websites. Search about what the company does and what kind of services and products do they sell, what has been their image in the customers’ perception and majorly, how can you serve them and how your skills and talents can make the company better and in a more effective form.

Once, you’ve searched about the company and their products or services, the next thing to be done are to know some of the questions that could be asked to you during the interview. Internet is a great thing to get information about anything. There are certain online forums and communities which talk about the questions usually asked by the companies during the interview process. Prepare yourself about how you’ll be answering their questions and how will you guard yourself against the basic yet tricky questions.

Thirdly, you need to make a list about the questions that you want to ask the company about. These questions can either be about the company’s future plans or about the customers’ expectations from the company. The questions about the salary and the benefits should be avoided during the interview.
You also need to know about the exact timings and the venue for the interview so that you would not get late and your first impression will be great over the employers.

The fourth thing that should be kept in mind is about the resume. The resume is the clear picture of your entire academic history. Introduction to the Interview:

The introduction is the first step that takes place in the interview room. The introduction is not usually too long but is very important. The company or the interview panel gets to know about the candidate during this conversation. There is a clear rule about that if a candidate cannot present himself easily and in a good way, how will he be able to present the company.

Thus, the introduction should be given in such a way that they employer shouldn’t need to ask you more questions about yourself and comes to the point quickly.

The tone of your voice while answering the questions shouldn’t be too high that the interviewer will think that you are rude and it shouldn’t be too low that the interviewer won’t be able to hear it clearly. You shouldn’t sound too shaky or too confident, over-confident to be exact. As already told practice it before you come to the interview. The tone of your voice and the pitch should balance out each other to make you presentable in front of the interviewer.



Getting Information about the Company:

It should be pretty clear that the interview is a two way communication process. No matter, how the question answer session went, don’t panic. Ask the company about the things you have gathered with you. Things you want to ask the employer about their history, their future plans or what do they expect from their employees and how do they keep the customers on track.

Don’t portray yourself passive, just like waiting something to happen. Be open about the questions you want to ask such as what you’ll be expected to do if you get selected and what will be your role in taking the organization towards success.

Remember, the questions you will be asking aren’t just for the sake of fun, they should be open-ended just like you have been asked in order to get maximum information from the interviewer you can.

Companies don’t usually like to talk about their future plans and their internal information. You need to structure your questions in such a way which don’t leave a wrong impact on the employer and it should be convincing enough that you get answered in a respectable manner.

Closing & Conclusions:

Just like the introduction stage, the closing stage is also very important yet short. After you’ve got the answers you were looking from the employer, you should be able to leave good remarks about yourself. Thank them all about their time and the job interview opportunity you have been. Ask them about how you can contact them; get a business card if you don’t have it right at the moment.

Ask them whether they are going to contact you or you will be one contacting them and after how long you can expect a response from their side. Leave the room with a smile and a hand shake.

After you’re done with the entire interview process, send them a note, probably through an e-mail. Thank them for their time and the opportunity. Tell them about how excited you are about the organization and the job.

Remember, a little effort and time never kills anyone, thus keep a check on your presentation.
